Changes to the Amazon FBA Fee in the United States in 2018: Effective February 22, Fulfillment Fee will use the full year rate

As in previous years, America’s Amazon FBA fee will be adjusted to reflect the cost changes in execution, transportation, and customer service. The new Amazon FBA fees system will take effect on February 22, 2018. Sellers should be informed of this information in a timely manner and make adjustments based on these changes.

In 2018, FBA will undergo the following changes:

• FBA Fulfillment Fee: Amazon will adjust the implementation fee for most sizes and weights of products. The adjusted fee will apply throughout the year, and Amazon will not launch separate FBA rates between October and December 2018.

• Calculation of the dimensional weight: Amazon is adjusting the calculation of the volume weight to comply with current industry standards. Currently, the volumetric weight is calculated as unit volume (based on length x width x height in inches) divided by 166. From February 22, 2018, Amazon will calculate the unit volume divided by 139 (rather than 166). The volumetric weight is only available for large standard-size items weighing over 1 pound, as well as all small, medium, and large oversized items.

Amazon will announce changes in FBA inventory warehousing costs in early 2018.

You can use Amazon’s official product size chart to determine what size level your product belongs to.
