Frequently asked questions

01. How do I track a shipment booked through LHD?

Send your booking reference, bill of lading, air waybill, container number or courier number. We can check the available transport milestones and ask the relevant operator about gaps. Customs clearance and final delivery may require separate confirmation; DDP does not automatically make LHD the importer of record.

02. Why has my tracking not updated for a week?

The usual reasons are a transhipment at an intermediate port, schedule slippage or a blank sailing, an LCL container still waiting for other cargo before it sails, a service that reports at fewer points than express couriers do, or a customs examination. None of these by itself means the cargo is lost, but each has a different effect on your delivery date, so ask for the current position rather than waiting for the next scan.

03. What do the tracking stages actually mean?

Cargo received means the goods have been checked into our Shenzhen warehouse against the packing list. Booked and cut off means space is confirmed and the cargo must be at the port or airport by a fixed date. Loaded and departed means the container is on the vessel or the consignment has been uplifted. Arrived and discharged means the shipment is at the destination and terminal storage may start. Cleared and delivered means the entry has been filed, the goods released and delivery made.

04. What should I send when I ask for an update?

Send the booking reference or transport number, the last visible status and its timestamp, and any delivery deadline. The response depends on information available from the carrier, broker and delivery provider.

05. When is a shipment worth chasing urgently?

When the container has arrived and free time at the terminal is running out; when a customs question is still unresolved; when a marketplace delivery appointment is at risk; or when the goods are needed for a fixed date. In each of those cases a delay that looks routine can become chargeable or can turn into a stockout, so ask before the deadline rather than after it.

How to request a shipment update

Contact LHD with the booking reference, container number, bill of lading, air waybill or courier tracking number available for your shipment. Include the last recorded status and its date so the team can check the relevant transport stage.

    Which tracking information is available?

Tracking depends on the carrier and booked service. An air, ocean or courier reference may cover only part of the journey. Ask which reference covers the current stage and whether warehouse, customs or final-delivery updates must be obtained separately.

If tracking is missing or has stopped updating

There is no single time at which all shipments receive a first scan. Send the reference, shipment details, last status and any required delivery date to zoexer@lhdlogistics.com or call +86 755 2992 5170. Business hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30 China Standard Time.

Tell the team promptly if terminal free time, a warehouse appointment or a delivery deadline is at risk. DDP wording alone does not identify the importer or the source of customs updates; confirm the appointed parties and reporting process for your booking.
